St. Paul School

This week we spent a few more days at St. Paul School. They are partnered with Coyote Ridge in Broomfield. It was awesome to see them wearing the green shirts that CRE sent to them. We worked on the Identity pen pal projects, had a movie night with Finding Nemo, snacks and drinks, and enjoyed hanging out with our friends!

Lots of Laughs!!

Lots of fun was had on our last day visiting Parents’ Junior School in Gulu. Our friends are so sweet and funny. What an amazing connection and partnership. Our pictures show story telling with baby class. They colored their ”identity portraits” and drew the things that they love! Can you figure out what their drawings tell about them? Next, we painted with P2 and P3 classes. They loved that activity, and were so excited to get their paintings from Coronado Hills kiddos. After school, 17 of us piled in the van to have dinner together: teachers, grandmas, mamas, babies, and kids! We went to an American food restaurant. I think they might have been a little nervous trying our food. It was so different for them. How would you feel about trying traditional Ugandan food? Check our lunch picture below. It was absolutely fantastic, probably our favorite meal here so far. Tomorrow we are excited to move by van to St. Paul (Coyote Ridge’s sister school) in Nkokonjeru, Uganda.
